Monthly Musings: May

May was so much waiting around! I am writing this in July because things have been so wild since then, but backstory is my due date was not until June 11th. However, my doctor had been telling us from the beginning that this baby was measuring so far ahead that she thought I would deliver early- like sometime in May. I had delta a month and a couple days early, and my doctor had mentioned that second babies tend to come earlier and faster than the first. Needless to say, I was so sure that this baby was coming every single day of May haha!

Low and behold, that did NOT happen. She came exactly when she was supposed to, but that is another post for another day. This month, we stayed home a bunch, but enjoyed being outside before it got too hot. We had family over for dinner multiple times, our nephew Blaine graduated high school, Ranger went fishing and caught so many catfish for an annual fish fry we have in the summer, ate lots of pasta salad, and Great Alice bought Delta some high tops that really made her personality pop!

We ended the month so excited for our second baby girl to be here any day!!
