Monthly Musings: February

February was a whirlwind! Spring came much earlier than years past and I wasn’t a bit mad! I am someone that gets “seasonal depression” maybe, or really just my mood is very dependent on the weather. So Spring in full force was great for my mental health. We got a library card and visit weekly. It has been so sweet to take Delta, she LOVES it and has even made new friends each time we visit. I enjoy reading to her each night and can’t believe how much she picks up on without even really being taught. Bubble baths and fancy pajamas are still a nightly staple around our house. Ranger makes the best breakfast anytime he’s home and me and Delta shout his praises.

Lots of park hopping and going to the State Park/Lake because we live 12 min down the road from the prettiest campground and trails. We watched family play in sporting events, had breakfast dates with family and friends when we could, Ranger snuggled his niece and asked for another baby. We had day dates without Delta and loved it and missed her all the same. I painted my nails red for the very first time and I don’t want to do another color again. I’m obsessed. We had snacks outside at 5pm before Dad got home most nights and waved and blew kisses at every person that was getting home from work in our apartment complex. We went fishing and Delta wore the cutest fishing shirt/onesie that CoCo got her. My friends planned the most fun weekend in Mckinney to celebrate my 30th birthday! They rented an Airbnb, we ate and drank and danced and talked and laughed and had the best best time. I even got to take an uninterrupted late night bath and you know how much I love that!!

Delta is walking but continues to hate shoes and socks, so most of the time people just stare when I let her down in public without either. I don’t care. She’s the absolute best and makes everyone’s day better just by being herself. March is a busy month for us, but we seem to thrive in the busy and fast paced. Bring it on!
