Monthly Musings: January

We started out the new year with some great friends from out of town having a New Years Eve get together, and that basically felt like five months ago! I never thought I would say this, but I am so glad January is over. It felt like it drug on so much longer than normal this year!

I love that we have family members that love Delta so much and want to come visit. If you follow along on Instagram, you have probably heard me talk about Pappy and Great Alice. These are my grandparents and they are thriving as new great grandparents haha! They live about an hour and a half from us, so we plan a visit once or twice a month and it’s been great.

We made lots of soups this month since the weather was honestly really crumby until the very end of the month. That may have been what made it feel like it drug on! Delta still doesn’t want to walk. She pulls up and walks around everywhere as long as she can have one hand holding onto something haha! She is something else. We practice all the time and she will take 2-3 steps by herself to me and Ranger, but then just fall and crack up! I’m just letting her be and not worrying about it because I know she will be off to the races once she realizes she can get to places faster!

We celebrated her 1st birthday and my 30th. Ironically, these are two milestone birthdays and we did the most low key parties with our immediate family. Which was great and fun and just what we needed. Ranger’s brother and his wife welcomed a sweet baby girl and now Delta has a girl cousin. I am beyond thrilled for them, she is precious and they are already making the absolute best parents. Delta still thinks she’s a play baby, so we’re working on that.. We had lots of playdates with old friends and new friends. Lots of Target grocery shopping, hair appointments, visits from Great Granny, smoothie drinking mornings, baths and evenings cooking supper before Dad got home.
